Well, I’m a keen traveller and try to visit one or two new places every year. Whenever I visit a new place, I'll explore its street markets because they offer a fascinating glimpse into the local atmosphere.

For instance, during my trip to Bangkok a few years ago, my bestie and I wanted to do something different, so we asked the hotel staff to suggest a local street market. They recommended the Rod Fai Night Market, which is one of the most bustling markets in the area.

We took a tuk-tuk, a popular mode of transport in the city, and arrived at the market shortly later. The scene was a real eye-opener - all kinds of doodahs and souvenirs, from vintage items to hippy fashion and exquisite handicrafts. We were eager to explore every nook and cranny of the place. Being shopping enthusiasts, we ended up buying soap carvings, handmade purses, accessories, coin pouches, and so on.

You know what! I even bargained with the sellers in Thai, which surprised them because it's not common for foreign tourists to speak Thai. They kindly offered us a discount. After we finished shopping, we headed to the zone where cool restaurants, bars, and snack stallswere packed with tourists and locals. We grabbed some street food, which was mouth-watering and right up my street.

Looking back, we had a great time at the Rod Fai Night Market, and it was a lot of fun to experience Bangkok's nightlife like the locals. If I have the chance, I’d like to go to that night market again.
